EVE Energy's Batteries Drive Historic First Flight of China's AS700D Electric Airship

China's aviation industry reached a sustainability milestone as the AS700D electric manned airship, equipped with EVE Energy's advanced battery systems, successfully completed its maiden flight in Hubei Province. This 10-seat aircraft marks China's first fully electrified airship, achieving zero emissions and 80 km/h speeds at altitudes up to 3,100 meters.

Technical Breakthroughs

EVE Energy's customized lithium-ion solution delivers:
✅ 8C Pulse Discharge for rapid power bursts
✅ 3C Continuous Output for sustained flight
✅ Dual-module redundancy ensuring operational safety
✅ 40% noise reduction vs traditional airships

"EVE's battery systems revolutionized our aircraft's balance and maneuverability," stated Zhou Lei, Chief Designer at AVIC Special Vehicle Research Institute. "This enables operations in noise-sensitive environments previously inaccessible to conventional models."

Flight Test Performance

During rigorous testing, the AS700D demonstrated:

  • 4 flawless vertical takeoffs/landings

  • Enhanced hover stability in crosswinds

  • Intuitive pilot controls with reduced vibration

  • 72 dB cabin noise levels (comparable to urban traffic)

Future of Green Aviation

With AS700D's success, EVE Energy announces plans to:

  1. Develop 500 Wh/kg aviation batteries by 2026

  2. Expand partnerships in drone/air taxi markets

  3. Reduce battery costs by 30% through modular designs

"Electrification will dominate low-altitude aviation," said an EVE spokesperson. "We're committed to powering China's $50B urban air mobility sector."
