Exploring EVE Energy's Revolutionary Electric Ship Innovations at Marintec China 2023
EVE Energy showcased its latest products at the 2023 Marintec China, Asia's largest and the world's second-largest maritime exhibition, held from February 5th to 8th at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. EVE Energy presented its full range of electric ship products including CELL, PACK, RACK, containerized power supplies, BMS, and four innovative products, highlighting leading technology and outstanding product capabilities, collectively envisioning the boundless possibilities in green shipping.
In recent years, propelled by global carbon neutrality goals, national and local governments have actively promoted the green and low-carbon development of the transportation industry, enhancing support for electric ships. Focusing on the transformation of clean energy for ships, EVE Energy's mobile containerized power supplies for ships have been upgraded to A60-level safety protection. These support multiple-box parallel use, facilitate battery swapping operations, incorporate built-in liquid cooling for uniform temperature, boast national standard interface outputs, effectively mitigating various safety risks during battery swapping and charging processes, suitable for port-side electrification.
At the exhibition, the President of China Classification Society, Sun Feng, along with a delegation including Xu Li, General Manager of the Wuhan Branch of the China Classification Society, Du Haigen, Deputy General Manager, and Jia Siqing, Director of the Product Department, as well as Wu Weiguo, Chief Professor at Wuhan University of Technology, visited EVE Energy's booth. Du Haigen presented the latest 2023 "Type Approval Certificate for Ship Containerized Mobile Power Supplies" for this product, signifying its recognition by authoritative institutions and attaining professional application qualifications.
Subsequently, Dr. Yi Haohao, Director of EVE Energy's First Research Institute, provided a detailed explanation of the ship's mobile containerized power supplies, delving into its advantageous features in terms of product design, structure, and configuration, capturing the keen interest of the audience present.
To expedite the application of pure battery-powered technology for electric ships, EVE Energy adheres to independent design and development. At this exhibition, they unveiled two battery packs, one battery cluster, and two BMS units. These innovative products possess advantages in safety, reliability, flexibility, efficiency, and easy operation. EVE Energy aims to propel global shipping towards higher-quality development in the new tracks of green, low-carbon, and digital economy with these products as engines of greening and intelligence.
As one of the earlier domestic lithium-ion battery manufacturers to enter the ship field, EVE Energy's ship power products, from battery cells to battery packs to battery systems, have obtained certificates from multiple classification societies such as CCS, DNV, ABS. These products cover the majority of application scenarios, ranging from yachts, sightseeing boats, ferries, cargo ships, container ships, offshore aquaculture platforms to large-scale ocean-going hybrid ships. As of October 2023, EVE Energy has accumulated a high installation volume of 447 ships, with over 50% of electric ships nationwide equipped with EVE's battery solutions. The cumulative shipment scale exceeds 200MWh, validating the market's positive reception of EVE Energy's ship battery systems. Recognizing their outstanding performance in electric ships, Evnergy Pte Ltd, a leading global intelligent wind power and energy storage technology company, has forged a strategic partnership with EVE Energy. Over the next two years, the two parties will collaborate to build and renovate over 60 new energy ships in the Asian region, jointly promoting the development and application of electric ship technology.
In the future, EVE Energy will continue to devote itself to independent innovation and research and development, continually improving its product ecosystem and service network. Together with the industry, they aim to provide global partners with a one-stop solution for green, safe, and intelligent low-carbon shipping, contributing incessantly to the cause of green shipping.
