EVE Energy Drives Innovation in New Energy Public Transportation at Guangzhou Expo

EVE Energy Advances New Energy Public Transport at Guangzhou Expo

From July 24 to 26, EVE Energy participated in the first Guangzhou International Expo on New Energy and Digital Technologies for Public Transportation in Guangzhou, joining over 1000 experts from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, international institutions, and the industry to explore the future of new energy transit.

At the expo, EVE Energy, represented by Vice President Li Mufen, signed a cooperation memorandum with the China Urban Public Transport Association and Guangzhou Public Transport Group Co., Ltd. This memorandum aims to create a collaborative framework to promote technological innovation, business model innovation, and policy research, accelerating the advancement of the public transport industry.

During the expo's themed forum, Dr. Huang Hongliang, General Manager of the Domestic Marketing Center at EVE Energy, delivered a speech titled "EVE Energy Supports Green Development and Smart Transportation." He highlighted the significant role of new energy buses in the growth of the new energy commercial vehicle market, with the market share expected to rise from 1.6% in 2015 to 14.3% by 2024. Dr. Huang emphasized that advancements in battery technology and systems for new energy buses not only contribute to market share growth but also drive innovation in new energy logistics vehicles.

Dr. Huang also provided an in-depth analysis of bus market trends. He noted that battery replacement for electric vehicles will become standard practice. To ease financial burdens on local governments, bus batteries could be repurposed after 8 to 10 years of use, allowing buses to operate for an additional 5 years or more. Additionally, the market share for buses measuring 7 to 10 meters in length is expected to increase, with low-floor and low-entry buses becoming more common to accommodate the aging population and the need for barrier-free access. Improvements in fast-charging technology and energy density will enhance bus operational efficiency, fostering further innovation in bus application models.
