Ternary lithium battery refers to the lithium battery using nickel-cobalt-manganate(NMC)as the cathode material and graphite as the cathode material. Different from lithium iron phosphate, ternary lithium batteries (NMC Batteries) have a high voltage platform, which means that the specific energy and power of ternary lithium batteries are more significant for the same volume or weight. In addition, ternary lithium batteries have substantial advantages in effective charging rate and low-temperature resistance.
NMC 811 battery is a high energy density battery, which belongs to a kind of NMC battery, also known as a ternary lithium battery. Ncm811 battery is not a unique and novel battery type but an improvement based on existing in the market. This basis is based on the mainstream lithium battery, according to the different proportions of nickel, cobalt, and manganese materials composed of the positive electrode. It is further subdivided into NMC 111 battery, NMC 523 battery, NMC 622 battery, and NMC 811 battery. The positive electrode of the Type 811 consists of 80% nickel, 10% cobalt, and 10% manganese (8:1:1).
