CALB Launches Zero-Carbon AI Gigafactory in Portugal

On February 24, local time, CALB officially broke ground on its new facility in Portugal, set to become a state-of-the-art zero-carbon AI gigafactory slated for completion in 2027. The groundbreaking ceremony was led by Liu Jingyu, Chairman of CALB, alongside Pedro Reis, the Portuguese Minister of Economy. The event was attended by a diverse group of stakeholders, including shareholders, customers, supply chain partners, financial institutions, and industry experts.

During the ceremony, leaders from CALB Europe showcased the latest technologies and products, highlighting innovative solutions for the global EV battery and energy storage markets. These advancements drew considerable interest from guests and the media. Additionally, strategic partnership agreements were signed with key customers, paving the way for a new era of collaborative growth and development.
