CORNEX at World Smart Energy Week Tokyo

Between February 19 and 21, the Tokyo Big Sight International Exhibition Center hosted the World Smart Energy Week, one of Asia’s premier industry events. At this event, CORNEX showcased a range of cutting-edge energy solutions, drawing considerable attention from industry experts, potential customers, and partners.

CORNEX introduced its newly developed long π 314Ah energy storage cell, which is based on the Conergy π 314Ah material system. This cell integrates advanced cathode pre-lithium and high-temperature cycle technologies to deliver high capacity and a long cycle life, maintaining performance with zero degradation over five years and an estimated cycle life of up to 25 years. Such performance meets the stringent demands of Japan’s rapidly expanding renewable energy market.

Another highlight was the 20-foot 5MWh Battery Energy Storage Container, known as the CORNEX M5. This innovative container maximizes capacity within the standard container size, reducing project footprints by 32% and lowering overall operating costs by 10%. The product series has achieved multiple international certifications, including GB, UN, UL, IEC, and EMC, and is set for distribution across North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. In Japan, a dedicated service team and localized network have been established to ensure prompt and precise customer support.

In addition to its energy storage solutions, CORNEX also unveiled two electric vehicle (EV) passenger cell models, PF300-130A and PF300-134A. The PF300-130A model features 5C ultra-fast charging technology, enabling vehicles to cover over 400 kilometers with just 10 minutes of charging. Rigorous safety tests—including needle penetration, compression, and thermal runaway assessments—underscore the company’s commitment to delivering safe and efficient EV solutions.

Overall, CORNEX’s participation underscores its focus on continuous innovation and its strategic efforts to support sustainable energy developments in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
