London, UK, August 14th, 2024 – Sungrow, a global leader in PV inverters and energy storage systems, is excited to announce the first delivery of its state-of-the-art Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), the PowerTitan 2.0, in Europe. A total of 66 units have arrived in the UK, marking a major milestone for the Bramley 100MW / 330MWh project led by Penso Power and BW ESS. This delivery comes less than a year after the landmark agreement between Penso Power, BW ESS, and Sungrow was signed.
The liquid-cooled PowerTitan 2.0 is poised to transform the energy storage landscape in Europe, offering unmatched efficiency, reliability, and safety. The system combines a 2.5MW Power Conversion System (PCS) and a 5MWh battery within a single 20-foot container. With its cutting-edge technology, it not only enhances efficiency and safety but also significantly reduces both capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational expenditure (OPEX).

In a recent development, BW ESS, in partnership with Penso Power, entered into a seven-year agreement with Shell Energy Europe Limited for the planned 100MW / 330MWh Bramley battery energy storage system, utilizing the PowerTitan 2.0.
Sungrow’s energy storage system shipments in 2023 surpassed 10.5 GWh worldwide, fueled by the strong momentum of the innovative, liquid-cooled PowerTitan ESS series. The introduction of PowerTitan 2.0 further demonstrates Sungrow's commitment to pioneering advancements across various technologies.
