Sungrow and CEEC Successfully Commission 300MWh Energy Storage Project in Uzbekistan

Equipped with Sungrow’s advanced liquid-cooled ESS PowerTitan 2.0, this facility is Uzbekistan’s first energy storage project and the largest of its kind in Central Asia. The project represents a major milestone in the region’s clean energy transition, paving the way for a more sustainable future.

Uzbekistan is accelerating its renewable energy development. In early 2024, the government raised its renewable energy target from 25% to 40% of the electricity mix by 2030. Energy storage projects like the Lochin BESS play a crucial role in enhancing supply reliability and mitigating the intermittency of renewables.
